Spice, Fruit, and Water-wise Nursery Project.
This project aims to empower local farmers by increasing access to affordable, high-quality seedlings, thereby improving agricultural productivity and household incomes. Despite Morogoro’s favorable climate, farmers have long faced challenges in obtaining reliable planting materials. Through this nursery, MBTO is bridging that gap by supplying improved seedlings of spices and fruit trees, tailored for local conditions and needs.
Beyond agriculture, the project is a powerful environmental intervention. It promotes sustainable farming practices, safeguards water sources, and restores degraded land through targeted tree planting. By engaging communities, offering training, and building long term partnerships, MBTO in partnership with World waternet ensures this nursery becomes a lasting asset. Rooted in our signature “My Birthday Tree” campaign, this initiative turns every birthday into a celebration of life and sustainability one seedling at a time.
