Conserving Mindu Dam for a Greener and Water availability Morogoro 2000 Trees Planted

On 9th December 2023, My Birthday Tree Organization proudly joined Tanzanians across the nation in celebrating 62 years of Independence by making a powerful statement—planting trees for freedom, climate action, and future generations.

In line with our mission to restore ecosystems and empower communities, we conducted a special Independence Day Tree Planting Event under the My Birthday Tree Campaign. Mzinga corporate, MORUWASA, Wami/Ruvu Water Board Basin, Volunteers, youth groups, environmental champions, and community members gathered in unity to plant  water-wise tree seedlings in Mindu dam catchment area.

Over 2,000 tree seedlings planted surround Mindu dam catchment

Public education on environmental conservation and climate resilience

Youth-led awareness sessions on the meaning of independence beyond politics—a call to action for environmental freedom

Special dedications where trees were planted in memory of freedom fighters and as birthday gifts to the nation

This celebration was not just about remembering the past—it was a living pledge to shape a greener, healthier Tanzania for tomorrow. Through tree planting, we honored our history and sowed seeds for a sustainable future.
