Syntropic Agroforestry Master Training
Join the Syntropic Agroforestry Training in Morogoro from 5–7 March 2026, hosted by APOPO, My Birthday Tree and Forest for Farming at Sokoine University of Agriculture. This hands-on workshop, led by experienced trainer Hannes Thaler, will equip farmers, students, and practitioners with practical skills to design and implement regenerative farming systems that restore soil health and increase productivity.
The Syntropic Agroforestry Training is a three-day practical workshop designed to introduce participants to regenerative farming systems that mimic natural forests. Participants will gain both theoretical understanding and field experience in designing productive, biodiversity-rich farming systems suited to local conditions.
What You Will Learn
During this training, participants will:
i. Understand the core principles of syntropic agroforestry
ii. Learn how to design systems adapted to local environments
iii. Select appropriate species and apply crop stratification
iv. Plan field layouts and system implementation
