Our History

My Birthday Tree Organization is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability through tree planting initiatives in Tanzania. The organization was founded on October 25th, 2021 and due to its incredible success and growth in activities and scope, it officially became a registered NGO on March 1st, 2023.

The organization’s primary objective is to make the environment more sustainable by planting trees as a way of reducing carbon emissions. Therefore, with every birthday celebrated, we encourage people to plant a tree to minimize the environmental impact that results from their lifestyle.

OUR MOTHER CAMPAIGN

On 25^th October 2021 we launched the mother campaign named MY BIRTHDAY TREE CAMPAIGN. This campaign aims in planting trees during people’s birthday occasion with the target of restoring degraded ecosystem and also educating the society on the importance of trees towards climatic change. We expect this program to be continuous since people are born every month and every year so at the end of each month, we expect to plant trees, with regard to weather conditions during summer people will take care of planted tree including watering and during winter rain will aid watering process. This campaign aims in planting 20000 trees in different areas such as in Catchment areas, along Basins, hotspot areas, dryland areas abandoned for any economic reasons, mining areas, expansion of reserved forest areas like mangrove forests and institutions like schools, universities, hospitals, markets and workplaces
